How we're different under the hood
Most comparison tools were built for a simpler market. Plans have changed faster than the standard approach.
Government, commercial, and retailer tools all do a genuinely useful job, and they get flat and simple time-of-use plans right. The newer plans are harder: free-period, demand, seasonal, solar-export, battery, EV, and wholesale-exposed, where the cost depends on when you use power, not just how much.
That's the part we focus on. When your plan is simple, we estimate from your bill. When it isn't, we model your actual half-hourly usage to find the plan that fits, and we always tell you which method we used, and why.
We've spent years working in this space, alongside governments, comparison services and retailers, and we still do. Our comparison is now version 2.0: your bill prices the everyday flat and time-of-use plans, and when a plan is more complex (demand, seasonal, solar export, EV or battery) we add your meter data to model how you actually use power. The tool surfaces the right method for your situation, and ties it into your electrification plans.

When we find something important that isn't on your bill, we put it at the top of your results.
You have the right to switch off your demand tariff.
Your meter is on a demand tariff that Ausgrid assigned automatically when your smart meter was installed. About 1 in 10 NSW customersare in this same spot. Most don't know.
Demand tariffs charge you based on your single highest 30-minute peak each month. The smart meter doesn't actually send you that information in real time, so you can't manage it effectively.

Who we're not for
We're not for energy traders.
If you run a home battery on Amber or Localvolts, manage a HEMS, or tune your usage against live wholesale prices, you already have better tools than we'll ever build. We're for the majority of households who want to be on the right plan and electrify sensibly, without actively managing a power station.

We've been doing this since 2018.
Accurassi has built digital comparison tools and energy expertise since 2018, working alongside state governments, energy retailers, distributors, banks and retail brands. In the last few years that work has grown into home and vehicle electrification, because for many households the two are now inseparable. Others simply want a clear, basic comparison.
Along the way we have likely processed more energy bills than any other platform in the country, helping Australian households cut what they pay.
The range of energy plans has become so wide and so complicated that the public comparison tools can no longer keep up. The rapid uptake of home batteries, and now electric vehicles, has made it harder still.
The Australian home is now a critical part of the grid and will only become more so, yet the people living in those homes have not been given the tools to optimise what they pay.
